What it is

A conference that comes to you.

Not every city has a Model UN. Not every school can run one. India MUN exists so that neither of those has to be true for a student to sit in a committee.

One conference

Held in many places

Committees run in each host city on the same days, on the same agenda. A delegate in Ratlam and a delegate in Silchar are debating the same item on the same afternoon.

No travel needed

Your city is the venue

Attending should not depend on a train ticket and two nights in a hotel. If there is a host city near you, that is where you go.

Most delegates at India MUN will be attending their first conference. Beginner committees, chairs who explain each step, and guides written to be read alone.

The standard

Same rules everywhere.

A conference is only worth attending if what you learn there works at the next one. So India MUN runs on the standards used by serious conferences everywhere, in every host city, with nothing simplified away.

  • Real UN bodies only. The General Assembly and its committees, ECOSOC, UNEP, the Human Rights Council, the Security Council. Nothing invented, nothing borrowed from fiction.
  • UN4MUN or UNA-USA rules of procedure, stated clearly for each committee before it begins.
  • Agenda items that genuinely exist, so your research leads to real resolutions and real national positions you can cite.
  • Identical committees across cities. A delegate trained in one host city can walk into any other and recognise every motion on the floor.

How it works

A city gets a host

A school, college or community space in the city offers a hall for the weekend. That is the whole requirement.

We bring the conference

Committees, agenda, background guides, trained chairs and the run sheet. Local organisers are not left to invent it.

Students register locally

Individually or as a school delegation. First-time delegates are placed in committees built for them.

Every city debates together

Same agenda, same weekend. Resolutions from every host city are published together afterwards.

Register as a delegate

Come alone or with friends. You will be assigned a country and a committee, and sent everything you need to prepare.

Schools

Send a delegation

Bring a group, with a teacher accompanying them. Places are held for schools attending a Model UN for the first time.

Hosts

Bring it to your city

If you have a hall and a few willing hands, you can be a host city. We handle the academics and the chairs.
